New Scientific publication Ser-Col in Journal of medical virology | Wiley:
Clinical validation of novel dried blood spot based collecting device using serum separation for measuring SARS‐CoV‐2 antibodies.
In this publication, Sophie Jolien Schuurmans Stekhoven of Spaarne Gasthuis in Haarlem, the Netherlands, describes the comparison of use of Labonovum Ser-Col compared with plasma results obtained from venous sampling.
The researchers established a complete concordance of Ser-Col DBS results for antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 compared with plasma results obtained from venous sampling.
The study demonstrates the feasibility of SARS-CoV-2 total antibody screening using a standardized DBS technique with semi-automated processing for large-scale analysis.
